Manners

Some people have it but most of them do not. Well, I am sure as hell that one of my female colleague doesn't have it either. I've been observing this impolite behaviour of hers since the last few weeks. Every morning when I arrived at work, I would muster all the confidence that I have (okay, I'm exaggerating here) to greet her or say hello. For a few days after I moved to my new work station, she would respond by smiling lightly. These days, she doesn't even bother to look up from the computer screen when I walked into the office . So I thought I'd stop saying hello since she doesn't notice my existence.(I'm wondering whether she really didn't notice me or she pretends not to notice me. Well,I chose to believe the latter these days). However, today when I came in, she was doing something else which she could totally see me when I walked in..Hence, I decided to say hello to her. And guess what??? She didn't even have the courtesy to reciprocate and she looked at me as if I'm speaking French to her!!!! I'm like WTF??? The least you can do is respond....She finally make my mind up for me ..I'M NOT GOING TO WISH HER AT ALL-----NEVER EVER!!!!! Just so you know, a little nod or a simple smile or a morning greeting would just make my day =) That's not too much to ask,right????

Many a time I've noticed most of my colleagues carry a dead face around the office in the morning ; as if someone had murdered their loved ones or their pet has died. Okay, probably they are too tired from last night's OT but cheer up people!!! From what I've heard from my lousy bro, his colleagues are far much nicer than my colleagues. Usually, his colleague would wish him or sometimes they'll call him taiko too...Muahaha...That's the morning spirit,baby!!! Okay lah.... I have to say that some of my colleagues are quite polite also.Some would reciprocate when I catched their eyes and smiled ...See, it's that simple.I wonder why SHE can't do it??? So highly educated, yet so ill-mannered. Pretty ironic,no???

Enough about HER already.. At least something good happened this week to compensate for the ill-mannered behaviour that I've encountered for the past weeks. The other day when I was leaving for home, I waited for the elevator with a random guy. When the elevator arrived, he waited for me to get in before him. I was surprised by the polite gesture. Most of the people I met will quickly rushed into the elevator as if the door will closed in 30 seconds..... The simple gesture definitely makes me believe that chivalry is not dead.
