Unfortunately, I lost the battle and cried , hoping that he would feel guilty and return the shoes ...Muahaha...But being the cold-blooded animal that he is (LOL,jkjk), he continues to wear them and our mom came to the rescue -- She promised to buy me a new one. I was reluctant at first because I don't want to give in too easily but after much persuassion from mommy dearest, I finally agreed. The next day, I got a brand new shoes - the same design with a different pattern and colour but most importantly , it's so MUCH nicer than the bright yellow ones.
You see, the reason I remember this incident was not because I am a revengeful person (well, maybe a little, but that's not the point here), but because it's one of the greatest fights we had had throughout our 20 years of siblinghood. I still couldn't figure out why he would wear the bright yellow shoes..Probably it was just an act to annoy me. (FYI, he totally could not recall this incident now)
Fast forward to 12 years later, we didn't really fought as much as we grew older. Just the constant teasing and the occasional fights on who should do the house work, use the computer, you know, the whole nine yards. Despite all the fights ; we remain pretty close-knitted. I would tell him things especially now that we are in the same class and we work in the same company but in different departments.
Many a time, people would say that my brother would lessen the male attention that I would get since we're in the same class. I used to have the same naive thoughts, but it doesn't really matter now and I 'm glad that we're in the same class because I knew that there's always somebody there to look out for me.
